The Hologram Device turns Hologram Tickets into equipment and plugins. The best default setup is to use the maximum number of tickets per activation, keep rarities one or two tiers below your highest available drop, and tighten effect filters only after your Device level stops unlocking new rarities quickly.

Quick answer

Use these rules for most accounts:

  1. Set Amount to the maximum available value.
  2. At Device Level 1–12, use 0 matches and prioritize the highest useful rarity rather than a perfect effect combination.
  3. From Level 13 onward, keep the rarity threshold one or two tiers below your highest unlocked drop and begin filtering for effects your active team uses.
  4. Equip an item when the comparison screen raises Battle Power or improves the effect you need. Sell clear downgrades for Tamer EXP, Partner EXP and Bits.
  5. Keep a reserve of Hologram Tickets for Guide Quests and Tamer Rank missions.

Hologram Auto unlocks after challenging Stage 11. Auto is useful for large ticket batches, but review its keep settings before every long run because items that do not match the filter are sold automatically.

How the Hologram Device works

Each Hologram Ticket produces one item. The pool contains five equipment types and five plugin types. Equipment fills the main gear slots, while plugins add effects through their own slots. The item screen shows rarity, effects and a Battle Power comparison so you can decide whether to equip or sell it.

Upgrading the Device improves the available rarity pool. Each level requires several Bit-funded gauges followed by a timer. When the timer finishes, return to the Device and press Level Up to complete the upgrade. The final step is not automatic.

The waiting timer can be shortened by watching an ad, using an Acceleration Ticket or asking Camp members for Help. Spend acceleration only when the next level unlocks a rarity you plan to use or when an active mission makes the upgrade immediately useful.

Best settings by Device level

The recommended bands below favor quick account growth early and more selective gear later. “0 matches” keeps the filter from demanding a particular option while early rarities are replaced quickly. At higher levels, choose the effects that fit your active Partner and Support setup.

If your inventory fills too quickly, raise the keep rarity before reducing the activation amount. If useful items are being sold, loosen the matches or option filter first. The goal is to process tickets efficiently without discarding a meaningful upgrade.

Upgrade costs and timers

Upgrade costs rise sharply after Level 20. Read Total Bits in the planner before starting: it already includes every gauge required for that level. The smaller line shows the per-gauge price and gauge count so you can see how the total is built.

The key rarity milestones are:

  • Level 2 adds SR.
  • Level 4 adds SSR.
  • Level 7 adds UR.
  • Level 9 adds GR.
  • Level 13 adds LR.
  • Level 20 adds LR+.
  • Level 24 adds EX.
  • Level 28 adds EX+.

N leaves the pool at Level 10, R at Level 15 and HR at Level 25. These removal levels are good points to revisit Auto settings because an old keep threshold may no longer be useful.

What to equip and what to sell

Start with the comparison arrow, then inspect the actual effects. A Battle Power increase is a convenient default for fast progression, but a lower-power item can still be useful when its effect matches the battle you are preparing for.

Equip an item when it does at least one of the following:

  • raises the displayed Battle Power for the intended setup;
  • improves an effect that the active Partner or Supporter can use;
  • replaces a much lower rarity item without breaking a useful effect set;
  • gives you a second option for a different battle type.

Sell items that are clear downgrades or duplicates you will not use. Selling returns Tamer EXP, Partner EXP and Bits, so regular cleanup feeds back into account and Device progression.

How to use Hologram Auto

Open Auto after Stage 11 and set the keep rules before selecting the ticket amount. Use the maximum amount when the filter is already safe. Start with a small batch after changing rarity, matches or options, then inspect the kept items before running the rest of your tickets.

Use this order whenever you change the setup:

  1. Choose the lowest rarity worth keeping.
  2. Set matches to 0 during fast rarity progression, or choose the effects you want when upgrades slow down.
  3. Leave the amount low for one test activation.
  4. Check what was kept and what was sold.
  5. Increase to the maximum amount once the result matches your goal.

This short test prevents an old filter from selling a newly useful rarity or a specialized effect.

Hologram Ticket management

Hologram Tickets can appear in Idle Rewards, Stage Boss rewards and Fight! DemiDevimon. They are separate from Skill Card and Supporter summon tickets and should not be counted as part of a summon budget.

Do not spend the last ticket only because Auto is available. Some Guide Quests and Tamer Rank missions require Hologram Device activations. Keeping a small reserve lets you complete those objectives without waiting for another ticket source. The Idle Rewards Guide helps you plan regular claims, and the Resources Guide keeps Hologram Tickets separate from other currencies and tickets.

FAQ

When does Hologram Auto unlock?

It unlocks after challenging Stage 11. If it remains locked, finish the current tutorial and Guide Quest steps, then recheck the feature prompt.

What are the best Hologram Device settings?

Use maximum amount, keep rarities one or two tiers below the highest drop your Device can produce, and use 0 matches through the early levels. At higher levels, filter for effects that fit the team you actually use.

Should I equip every higher-rarity item?

No. Compare Battle Power and effects. Higher rarity is a strong sorting tool, but the effect still needs to help the intended setup.

Does an upgrade finish automatically when the timer ends?

No. Return to the Hologram Device and press Level Up after the timer completes.

What happens to items rejected by Auto settings?

They are sold automatically. Run a small test batch after changing a filter so you can confirm the result before processing a large ticket stack.

Settings and costs reflect the launch version and may change after an update.
