URThis is a community launch snapshot, not an official Bandai Namco ranking. Several units still lack detailed evaluation notes, so the order may change quickly.
The launch verdict
Early lists use different unit types and investment assumptions. Treat them as a starting reference, not a permanent meta verdict.
Starter Partner
One early guide reports equal performance across the 15 starting choices. Pick your favorite for now.
Buddy watch
Agumon (Tai Kamiya Ver.) appears first in one launch-day Buddy ranking.
SP Support watch
WarGreymon (SP Ver.) appears first in one launch-day SP Support ranking.
Evidence level
Community reported. We have not independently reproduced the rankings in live combat.
Short answer
Do not reroll or spend from a single combined tier list. Starter Partners, Buddy Digimon, Support Digimon, and SP Support Digimon are separate systems. Current third-party rankings also assume maximum Breakthrough for summon units, which is not a fair picture of every account.
How to judge an early tier list
A useful ranking compares equivalent conditions instead of relying on rarity color alone.
- 01
Separate PvE and PvP
Stage clearing, bosses, idle progression, and player battles can reward different skills.
- 02
Compare equal investment
Base copies, realistic free-to-play investment, and maximum Breakthrough need separate views.
- 03
Record team context
Unique skills, buffs, debuffs, and role coverage can change value by composition.
- 04
Repeat controlled battles
Use the same stage, power range, equipment, and sample size before moving a unit.
- 05
Recheck every patch
New units, balance changes, and obtainable Breakthrough materials can change the order.
Launch recommendations that are safe now
- Choose the starter Partner you like instead of chasing an unverified starter tier.
- Keep Buddy, Support, and SP Support rankings in separate tabs or notes.
- Check whether a ranking assumes one copy, free investment, or maximum Breakthrough.
- Delay irreversible spending when detailed evaluation reasons are unavailable.
- Compare live skill descriptions and battle results before changing your account plan.

DIGIMON UP tier list FAQ
What is the best Digimon in DIGIMON UP?
There is no verified single answer because Partner, Buddy, Support, and SP Support Digimon fill different systems. Early external lists highlight Agumon (Tai Kamiya Ver.) for Buddy and WarGreymon (SP Ver.) for SP Support, but those are early launch signals.
What is the best starter in DIGIMON UP?
One early external guide reports that all 15 starter Partners have the same performance and that later Partners can be unlocked. Until this is independently reproduced, choose the line you prefer rather than rerolling for starter power.
Should I reroll for WarGreymon?
WarGreymon (SP Ver.) is an early top watch for the separate SP Support category, but the available launch ranking still has incomplete reasoning and uses maximum Breakthrough assumptions. Set a spending and time limit before rerolling.
Why does investment change a tier list?
A summon unit evaluated at maximum Breakthrough can outperform a free unit that currently has no equivalent upgrade route. That does not mean the same order applies to a new or free-to-play account.
